Heel Organization

Before you start organizing your heels, I highly suggest editing your collection. You don’t want to purchase a bunch of organizing solutions to contain heels you’re not going to wear or don’t care to display.

In my previous post on sneaker organization, I shared a lot of organizing solutions that will also work for heels. The most popular sneaker organizer is a box like this one below. They are stackable with a door in the front and also modular allowing you to stack and configure them to fit your spaces. The difference with this one from the ones I shared for sneakers is that it is taller so it’s perfect for standing taller heels upright (found here):

Closet Organizing Solutions

The modular shoe boxes above can be stored inside or outside of a closet. Here are heel organizing solutions for the inside of your closet.

If you don’t prefer to have a door or lid to your heel storage, here is a solution for you. These dividers work just like closet shelf dividers except they are proportionally-sized for heels and are stackable on top of each other (found here):

You can maximize space on shelves in your closet with these space-saving shoe stackers which are adjustable to the height of your heels (found here):

If you want to partially conceal your heels while still being able to see them at a glance, bins like these help to reduce visual clutter (found here):

Heel Storage Outside of the Closet

If you don’t have space to store your heels inside your closet, there is an expansive collection of shoe racks/shelves available depending on the size of your spaces and how many heels you want to store. The main thing to look for when looking for shoe racks and shelves for heels is to ensure that the shelves themselves do not have widely spaced bars where your stilletos can fall through. A rack like this with solid shelves is a perfect example (found here):

If you don’t want your heels to be visible, a cabinet like this with doors that lift up can be the perfect solution for you (found here):

A space-saving solution is a rack like this which can be stored in a corner in or out of your closet (found here):

Here is the same solution as above but in a smaller version for smaller heel collections (found here):

And, you can make heels accessible under a bed by utilizing a roll-out shoe organizer like this (found here):

Displaying Your Heels

For your heels that deserve the spotlight, here are some beautiful organizing solutions to display them.

To protect high-end heels that you very rarely wear, a clear, closed container like this is perfect (found here):

For a boutique-style closet, display stands like these will make you feel like you are shopping in your own closet (found here):

For taller shelves and cube-style shelves, you can set an acrylic stand on the shelf or within a cube to store two pairs of heels on top of each other (found here):

To maintain the shape of your strappier heels and prevent warping and other damage, forms like these are super helpful (found here):

I hope you found some ideas for how to organize your heels for your organizing style and/or the space that you have! In my next post, I share how to organize flats.
