ORIGINAL FUNCTION

The purpose of a cabinet door organizer is to create easy access to frequently used items on the door of a cabinet. Different cabinet door organizers typically have clearly defined purposes. Whether they are for hair appliances, food wrap, cleaning supplies and even pot lids and baking pans, they can be the perfect solution to organize your spaces, but they can also be pretty pricey. So, today, I thought I would show you how to utilize this transformation of this shower caddy in case this turns out to be the perfect solution for you!

WHAT NOT TO DO

But first, let me tell you what not to do. You don’t want to utilize a cabinet door organizer without securing it properly and protecting your furniture. This can done by utilizing command hooks made for the correct weight of what you need to store on your organizer. You can also utilize the built-in hooks on pre-made cabinet organizers, of course, but you will also want to apply felt pads under the hooks and at the bottom of the organizer or between any points that are touching your furniture in order to protect your furniture from getting damaged while the cabinet door is opened and closed during daily use.

BEST WAYS TO USE

Since most cabinet door organizers are designed for a specific purpose, you just want to look for functionality based on your habits. For example, if you are looking for one for your hair appliances, you may desire one that has convenient cord storage. You will want to measure your cabinet height, width, and thickness in order to be sure the organizer will fit and function well for your space.

UNCONVENTIONAL USES

Here are some ways to use this Dollar Tree DIY as a cabinet door organizer.

You can use it to store cleaning supplies under the sink. In your spice cabinet, you can make this a multi-purpose organizer to contain your spices or oils and vinegar along with plastic wrap and measuring utensils. You will install this at the proper height to fit your oil and vinegar bottles within the height of the cabinet door, but, in the video, I show you how these bottles fit within the organizer for demonstration purposes. And, lastly, you can store your small kitchen appliances on your pantry door or pantry wall. You can even wrap the cord around the hooks on the bottom.

HOW TO DECIDE IF YOU NEED A CABINET ORGANIZER

A cabinet door organizer designed perfectly for your needs can be the perfect solution if you don’t have enough space within your cabinets. They also help to maximize space in deep cabinets by utilizing vertical space.
