Who doesn’t want to be wealthy? Who doesn’t want to be financially free?

Hi, friend! I am so grateful for the response I received on my last Financial Transformation Thursday post about how I’ve been able to stay out of debt for the last 14 years even through many trials. It is also amazing to see how many of you have downloaded the November Home Organizing Challenge. You all are ready to get things in order! This challenge will help you prepare for our Finance Organizing Challenge which starts next month. It’s never too late to get organized, so if you haven’t started the challenge yet, it is no problem. I did my best to make it easy to catch up on.

So, why am I talking about finances already when the finance organizing challenge doesn’t start until next month? Well, I’m glad you asked!

We need to get into the correct mindset about money, wealth, finances, budgeting … any and everything related to money …

Let’s Put Things into Perspective

Whether you are considered to be impoverished, somewhere in between, or upper class doesn’t matter. A person in the upper class can be very irresponsible financially and cause massive irreparable damage (you hear about it all the time … someone suddenly becomes rich and famous or famous and rich and then squanders their wealth) while the impoverished person can be living perfectly within their means, free of debt, with excellent credit.

Who would you consider to be closer to financial freedom? Think about it for a second. Now, with these two examples on the opposite ends of the spectrum in regards to both social class AND financial responsibility, the upper class person who makes costly decisions losing large sums of wealth has a longer, harder, further journey to go through in order to get back even to zero,

The impoverished person, on the other hand, can start side hustles that can lead to increased income which can turn into a financially thriving career and even go so far as to become part of the upper class. Because they had that strong foundation of financial responsibility, they knew how to handle their money when they had little and are now able to handle having much more. Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. ~Luke 16:10

But what if something unforeseen happens: illness, loss of a major source of income, etc.

If you are accustomed to staying on top of your budget and know exactly what you can afford on a lower income, you know exactly where to cut costs (I will show you soon enough exactly how to do this). The benefit of being content with and being on top of your finances whether you are making very little or very much is that you will know that you will be just fine no matter what may happen.

The One Thing You Must Grasp

In order to obtain financial freedom and to be able to handle wealth, you must master financial responsibility.

The way we take care of our money reflects how we take care of everything else. What I love seeing is someone who has very little yet is so generous. When they attain wealth, they know just what they need and recognize that they don’t need much more, and are exponentially generous. That may be hard to conceive as a reality any time soon but it is a beautiful goal to have.

We must have peace in whatever financial situation we are in, and, in order to have that, we must:

  • be content where we are right now at this very moment
  • take responsibility for the financial position we are in at this moment
  • know that we can improve our finances
  • know that we can achieve financial freedom
  • and know that we can even get to a place of wealth where we can be giving beyond belief

Be sure to share this with others who you feel may benefit from this info as I will be sharing some financial organizing techniques that no one is showing you. In my next Financial Transformation Thursday video I will be sharing why you SHOULD be using credit cards. But WAIT, don’t go and get a credit card before you watch the video, AND, don’t charge your current credit cards if they are carrying a balance. Whaaaaaaat?!?!?! Just you wait and see!

Happy Budgeting!
