Practical & Beautiful Organizing Solutions
Shower Organization
Depending on the setup of your shower, there is guaranteed to be an organizing solution that works for you. It really is amazing what organizing solutions are available these days for stand alone showers with shower curtains or doors.
For stationary showerheads (rather than removable handheld showerheads), a simple shower caddy that hangs over your showerhead can be all you need … especially if it includes organizing solutions for all the things you need to contain. This organizer has hooks for your razors and loofahs and a couple spots to hang products upside for easy dispensing (found here):
Hanging shower caddies aren’t just made to hang over showerheads anymore. There are also shower caddies made to hang over shower doors or glass shower walls now. If you have a handheld removable showerhead, this might be just what you need to organize your shower (found here):
If a shower caddy doesn’t contain all the organizing solutions you need, you can customize your shower organization by using individual caddies like these and installing them on your shower walls or doors (found here):
If you’re concerned that the suction on individual shower caddies won’t work on your shower surfaces, there are caddies that utilize a tension rod like this one which is perfect for straight shower walls (found here) (rather than a shower and tub combo that might have a slant at the bottom):
If you are concerned about any kind of installation, you can utilize a simple stand alone caddy (found here):
Bonus: if you want both seating (to shave your legs, for example) and storage in your shower, you can utilize a bench with a shelf underneath like this (found here):
I share even more shower organizing tips for households with lots of people utilizing one bathroom in my door shoe organizer post here and my s-hooks post here.
Bathtub Organization
To beautifully organize a stand alone spa like tub, you can hang a caddy on the side like this (found here):
and you can contain your products and towels in a standing caddy like this (found here):
For an extra spa-like touch while you relax in the tub, you can use something like this to contain a glass of wine and toiletries (found here):
Shower & Bathtub Organization for Kids
Corralling all the kids’ toys after their baths can be such a pain … literally, your back is probably in pain from bending over the tub and keeping a squirmy, slippery baby safe while bathing him or her. So, to start off this section with some organizing solutions for your kids’ bath toys, here is a solution that can contain toys and/or bath products in the mesh pockets while also saving your back, elbows, and knees (found here):
Gathering all the toys and then storing them is easily accomplished with an organizing solution like this as it is a basically a large scoop that sits in a base to catch the draining water (found here):
To organize a shower or tub, one really great organizing hack is to use a tension rod across the shower or tub. You then hang containers with holes or containers made of mesh to hang over the tub which allows them to drip dry. You can use s-hooks along with bins or baskets with holes that hook onto the hooks which are hooked to the tension rod. Or, you can use a mesh bag like this (found here):
There are quite a few different mesh bag options including sections for products or a larger capacity for larger toys that you can hang onto the tension rod depending on your needs.
The simplest solution for any bathtub can be to utilize an expandable caddy that stretches over the top of the tub (found here):
