It’s a common mistake to store cooking utensils and gadgets together as I shared in the previous post about how to organize cooking utensils. We must organize our gadgets for easy access near where we prep food prior to cooking. But did you know, you can also organize them according to your organizing style? You can find out what your organizing style is here.
Before organizing your gadgets, you must purge the ones you do not use. One of the most common issues I see with clutter in kitchens is the accumulation of gadgets that are used once, or not at all, and never used again. Also note what items do double-duty. You may find that you don’t need your box grater any longer as you tend to reach for your microplaner which does the job. Be ruthless and purge the excess so you can more easily store what you do use.
In my freebie library here, I include guides which help walk you through the organizing process and help you decide what to purge and keep. I also include my declutter and organizing challenge calendars and guides to help direct you through each area of your home. These guides ensure you get through every nook and cranny and finally get to the other side of clutter … an organized and functional space!
In this post, we focus on how to organize gadgets. Gadgets should be stored separately from cooking utensils and near an area where you prepare foods prior to cooking. Below, I share ideas on how to organize your gadgets in different areas of your kitchen … just be sure you choose one near where you have the most space to prepare ingredients like the largest portion of your kitchen countertop.
